My name is Heidi and I'm 25 years old and live in eastern PA. I wasn't able to start hunting at a young age since my immediate family was not into hunting, but I was always intrigued by my god-fathers stories about being in the outdoors. I knew it was something I wanted to try. When I met my husband, Dereck, that was the first time I was able to lay in a duck blind! 

 

I started out just tagging along to photograph the hunts, either in the blind or in a stand. It wasn't long until I dropped the camera and wanted to try hunting for the first time. There is nothing like the thrill of waterfowl hunting, having the birds circle and fly right about you. I was officially hooked!

 

There is no off season for us at our house. Whether it's turkey, upland, waterfowl, or deer. When we aren't hunting we spend our weekends on the river fishing, or maintaining our food plots. There is nothing more enjoyable then being able to be in the outdoors year round.

 

I believe you can never stop learning when it comes to the outdoors and hunting. I look forward to sharing my experiences and knowledge with everyone, as well as supporting female hunters.
