My name is Jennifer James and I’ve lived in Oregon almost all my life. I grew up camping and fishing, and have always had a passion for the outdoors. My love of the outdoors has grown exponentially since I started hunting 11 years ago. Although I started out with duck hunting, I’ve become an avid bowhunter over the last 6 years.

As a DIY, public land hunter, I put months of effort into harvesting wild game. I honor and appreciate my food more than most because I have a personal connection to it that you don't have when you buy your meat from the store.  Fishing and hunting not only provides me with the opportunity to feed my family and fill my freezer with fresh, organic meat but it also creates opportunities to spend more time outdoors as a family. As a wife and mother, I appreciate being involved in every step of the process in both providing and preparing food for my family. I hunt, fish, and forage our public lands, learning more about my states resources and myself in the process. As a member of Huntress View, I hope to spread my love for all things outdoors and connect with fellow outdoors women of all kinds.
