It’s that time of year where we’re all scrambling to find the best gifts for everyone on our shopping lists. When it comes to the hunter or outdoor enthusiast, there are so many options—even for those people that seem to already have everything. Along with members of the Huntress View team, I’ve put together our top recommendations for holiday gift giving, including gifts for the dog!

Lip balm and candy canes are great, but this year, stuff those stockings with something they really want.
Havalon Piranta Knife
Available in a variety of styles and colors, the Havalon Piranta knife is perfect for the hunter or huntress on your list. It’s compact size and replaceable blades make it ideal for skinning meat in the field or butchering at home. Although the knifes come with replacement blades, the blades stay sharp even after multiple uses. Prices start at $39.99.

Every hunter needs camo face paint. Nature’s Paint is 100% natural, and it’s easy-on/easy-off formula means no scrubbing or irritation. Comes in lip balm-style tube, and is available in 3 colors: Ash Black, Moss Green and Buck Brown. You can purchase the colors individually, but I recommend the combo pack ($16.49) that comes with all 3 colors and includes a convenient mirror and lanyard.

Merino Wool Accessories
As primarily a backcountry hunter, merino is my favorite material to use. It is breathable and super warm, as well as lightweight and natural. Three items that should be at the top of every backcountry or cold-weather hunter’s accessories list are: neck gaiter/buff, beanie and gloves. These items are small and can be easily carried in packs when not needed. My go-to brands are Icebreaker and First Lite—both offer a variety of products to select from.
