Looking for a great appetizer for a cookout or summer party? Stuffed mini peppers are a quick and easy way to feed hungry guests! And they're easy enough to make for a weeknight dinner too.
Ingredients:
12 mini sweet peppers, TIP: Use jalapenos for added spice
1/2 lb wild game sausage, or any protein
8 oz cream cheese
1/3 cup sour cream
1 cup shredded cheese of choice
1/4 cup red or green onions, chopped
Real bacon bits, optional
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1tsp red pepper flakes
Directions:
Cut the peppers in half, ok to keep the stem on or remove it. Remove the seeds and inside membranes.
Brown sausage in a large skillet. Add cream cheese, sour cream, and half of the shredded cheese. Heat until cheese is melted.
Carefully fill the pepper halves and arrange them in a small dish. Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.
Bake peppers at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
Garnish with onions and serve!
