Who doesn’t love turkey meat?! It’s the best lean meat. It’s a great feeling being able to go out hunting and bring back food to put on the table. Hunting turkeys is one of my favorite animals to hunt. Here is a quick and easy recipe for one of my favorite turkey dishes...turkey nuggets!
Ingredients
1/2 turkey breast
1 quarter red onion
1 tbsp black pepper
1 tsp chili powder
1 tbsp salt
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 cup flour
2 eggs
2 tbsp water
Directions
Clean up the turkey meat, rinse, then cut into cubes.
Dice the red onion.
Put the turkey meat and onions in a food processor or blender, then blend until the meat looks like mush.
Blend all your dry ingredients: black pepper, chili powder, salt, garlic powder, and flour.
In a separate bowl, whisk the 2 eggs and 2 tbsp of water together.
Using spoons, a scoop, or your fingers, grab a small amount of the mixture and roll it into a meatball. Repeat until you've used all of the meat.
Then roll each ball of meat in four, coating all sides. Then dip each ball into the egg mixture and roll again in the flour. Place the coated balls of meat on a tray.
Once you have all your meat rolled and floured, press the palm of your hand on them to make them flatten patties.
Heat frying oil in a pan; make sure it’s nice and hot before putting the meat in. Brown both sides of the meat. It usually takes about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove from heat and let sit for about 5 minutes.
Get your favorite dipping sauce and it’s time to serve. My favorite with this recipe is the Kinders Roasted Garlic.
Hope you enjoy!
