How awesome is it when you can harvest your own meat and grow your own veggies?! This is the perfect mix for creating your own meals. This recipe for venison zucchini sliders is one of my favorites and can be completely customized with the meat and veggies you love. The recipe below is how I prefer it but make it your own!
Ingredients
Zucchini
Olive oil
Traeger Veggie Rub
Ground venison burger
Salt
Pepper
Garlic salt
Sliced pepperoncini’s
Cheddar cheese
Burger toppings of your choice
Toothpicks
Instructions
Pre-heat your Traeger to 325°.
Cut zucchini it into 1/4" rounds.
Using a fork, scrape both sides of the zucchini rounds then brush both sides with olive oil and season with the Traeger Rub.
Season the ground burger with salt, pepper, and garlic salt to taste. Make tiny patties to fit in your zucchini rounds
Tip: Flatten burger between two pieces of plastic wrap. It won’t stick on your hands.
Cut the cheese into slices, to have ready to throw on the burgers when they are almost done.
Once the grill is heated, place the burgers and zucchini on the grill. It usually takes about 20-30 minutes to cook. Make sure to flip zucchini and burgers halfway through cooking.
Place the cheese the burgers at least 5 minutes before they are done so it will melt.
Now start stacking your sliders -> Zucchini, burger, and pepperoncini’s. Once you have all your goodness on the slider, stick a toothpick through the middle to hold it together. Serve with everyone's favorite burger toppings.
