My name is RaeLynn Skluzacek and I live in Le Center, MN with my husband. We own and operate a Dog Training facility and breed American and British Labrador Retrievers. We live and breathe any type of hunting especially if we can run our dogs. Growing up in Northern Michigan my family didn’t really do any waterfowl or upland hunting, but I did spend Fall through Winter deer hunting with my dad and brother either on our property or at my families hunting camp. During the Winter months I also would spend time coyote hunting. Being in the outdoors has always been my favorite place to be.

 

My love for hunting grew as I got older when I started looking into getting a Labrador Retriever for waterfowl hunting. That is actually how my now husband and I met, I was researching kennels that bred Labrador Retrievers, I like to call it our own Hallmark Story. Although my passion is for deer hunting, nothing makes me happier than going out waterfowl hunting with my husband and a couple of our dogs and watching them do what they love to do. There is no better feeling than seeing the spark in your dogs eyes as you call in some birds. Behind the scenes I am our photographer, I get to be the person to capture all the action on our hunts and while we train.

 

My hunting adventures take place all over from our home base in Minnesota to Wisconsin to North Dakota and many others places. Hunting to me isn’t about the piles of ducks or geese in the field or the buck on the trail camera, it’s about getting outdoors and ethically hunting. At the end of the day my goal is to advocate for women in the outdoor industry and encourage more women to get involved and follow their passion
